Method

We publish how we work, because we can’t yet publish who we’ve worked for.

Most agencies show you results and keep the method private. We’re doing the opposite for now — here is exactly what we do and in what order, so you can judge the thinking before you pay for any of it.

The engagement

Four steps, in this order, every time.

The order is the method. Doing step three before step two is how marketing budgets disappear without anybody being able to say why.

  1. 01

    Find the block

We look at how customers currently find you, what happens when they do, and where it stops. That starts with the questions in the assessment, and goes deeper if you decide to go ahead — your actual listing, your actual site, your actual numbers.

  2. 02

    Fix that one thing first

Whatever is costing you the most work right now. Not the biggest project, not the thing with the nicest deliverable — the thing that is actually in the way. If your site already brings in calls, we won't sell you a new one.

  3. 03

Make it measurable before we spend

Tracking goes in before the money does, so there is a 'before' to compare against. Without that, every judgement about what worked is a story rather than a measurement — including ours.

  4. 04

Build the next layer, only once the last one works

Different businesses stop at different points, and stopping is a legitimate outcome. There is no package that everybody ends up buying.

What it costs

It depends on what the read turns up — a Google Business Profile fix and a site rebuild are very different pieces of work, and quoting before we know which one you need would just be a number we’d have to change later. What we will commit to: a fixed number before anything starts, not an hourly rate that drifts, and no work begun without you agreeing to that number first.

What we don’t do

This list matters more than the capability list, because it is the part that costs us something to say.

We don’t keyword-stuff Google Business Profile names

Renaming a profile to “Calgary Emergency Plumber 24/7” when the business is called something else is a guideline violation and a suspension risk — and the suspension lands on your listing, not on the agency that did it.

We don’t build suburb pages

Twenty near-identical pages for twenty neighbourhoods matches Google’s published examples of doorway abuse almost exactly.

We don’t sell citations by volume

The core handful of directories, done properly, then stop. The next four hundred listings get sold because volume is easy to invoice, not because they do anything.

We don’t promise rankings, timelines or lead volumes

Nobody controls those. An agency that promises them is either guessing, or counting on you not checking afterwards.

And we don’t take work we’d do badly. If the honest answer is that you need a specialist we aren’t, we’ll say so.

Where the proof is

We don’t have client results we’re free to publish yet, so we’re not going to show you other people’s numbers dressed up as ours. What we’ll do instead is tell you exactly what we’d change, why, and what you should watch — before you pay for anything. When there are results worth publishing, they’ll appear with the client’s name on them and permission to check.

In the meantime, the two things you can actually inspect are this page and the read itself. Here is an example of what the read looks like before you give us anything.

10+ years of digital marketing experience

That is the credential, stated plainly and once. It is not a substitute for results and we won’t pretend it is.

Two ways to start

Answer the questions and get a read on screen, or just tell us the problem in a sentence. Both reach the same person.

Or just tell us what you need

No questions, no flow. Tell us the problem in a sentence and we’ll come back to you.

We use this to reply to you and nothing else. Privacy policy.

Next step

Find out what’s actually costing you customers.

A few questions, a read on screen, and one thing you can go fix yourself this week. No cost, and no sales call required to see it.

Find Out What's Blocking You Tell us what you need

You see the result on screen — email optional.
